New location for the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.
In August of 2006, the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank began operations at our new facility at 4490 Ocmulgee East Boulevard. The new facility has enabled us to increase our ability and efficiency in handling food products in Middle Georgia. With the increased dry storage, and refrigeration we will be moving into the next decade of operation better able to meet the needs in Middle Georgia.
Web site adjustments.
New to our web site will be access to our IRS 990, an expanded Privacy Policy, and a copy of our Annual Report for FY2007. These new items may be accessed from the site map page.
United Way of Central Georgia 2-1-1
The United Way of Central Georgia has a "Help Line" that is very useful for people in need of a variety of services. The "Help Line" can be accessed through "land-line phones" by dialing 2-1-1 (just like the emergency 911). The 2-1-1 "Help Line" offers a data base and staff that are willing to assist with information, contacts, etc. It is a tremendous resource for people in need.
